Human health and environmental
health are interconnected

We know smoking and vaping can have negative impacts on the human body. Human health and environmental health are also connected, so when we work to protect one, we protect the other. When the world is less polluted, so are our bodies.

learning goals:

  • Understand the life cycle impacts of tobacco and vaping products on the environment.

  • Identify the manufacturing processes and materials involved in tobacco and vaping products.

  • Analyze the impacts on biodiversity, ecology, climate, and communities that vaping and tobacco products have.

  • Enact sustainable disposal practices and pro-environmental behaviours (cleanup, education, advocacy).
